Maitland Storm Water Catch Basins

Project Name: Maitland Storm Water Rehabilitation

Client: City of Maitland

Location: Maitland, FL

Time Project Took to Complete: Approximately 3 weeks

Technologies Utilized: Masteroc 355 1-K Chemical Grout, Euclid V-100 Polymer Cement, SprayWall

PROBLEM:

The City of Maitland was faced with 20 severely deteriorated storm water catch basins. The structures were experiencing significant groundwater infiltration, causing roadway deterioration due to the sinking of the structures.

SOLUTION:

Engineered Spray Solutions evaluated each of the structures and constructed a plan to address the unique needs of each. For example, some only required grout injection and rebuilding with polymer-modified cement whereas others needed a fully structural repair utilizing SprayWall as a structural solution. Masteroc 355-1K was utilized to stop the active infiltration and Euclid V-100 provided the perfect tool for rebuilding and resurfacing the structures. Finally a number of the structures called for 250 mils of SprayWall structural polyurethane to be applied to restore structural integrity.

RESULT:

The leaking and sinking of the structures was resolved and structural integrity was restored to these storm water assets. This provided peace of mind and construction time and cost savings to the asset owner. The work passed a rigorous inspection by the city and ESS continues to perform work for the City of Maitland to this day.
